CUSTOM NEW BUILDS

A new construction project is ideally one where we would be included before the plans are finalized with the architect. We meet with your architect and builder to collaborate on the design and then collect their schedule timeline, understand the type of build and gather vendor preferences (if applicable) and receive the budget.

We would begin with the Concept Design. Depending on the scale of the project, this can take up to 2 months. Once the concept is approved, we transition into the Design Development phase, where we select all final finishes, cabinet details, and any architectural finishes/millwork. During this phase, we are simultaneously project managing with the builder/ architect (if necessary), attending meetings on site with subs, and keeping all selections on track via a digital, internal schedule.

RENOVATIONS

Similar to new construction, it is always the most beneficial for all parties to be involved from the very beginning, before finalized plans. Renovations can vary greatly, from a whole home gut to a large scale kitchen renovation and everything in between.

The first stage of this process is working with the Architect and GC to be clear about what rooms are being addressed and understand budgets and timelines. Once we have all of this information nailed down and are clear in our deliverables, we will start working on our Concept Design. Depending on the scale of the project, this can take up to 2 months. FURNISHINGS

We offer two different ways to work with us for our furnishings service:

MODIFIED DESIGN

With this route, we measure your space, use your plans (if applicable) and create your space plan and design. Then we send you retail links that you can purchase from.

FULL SERVICE DESIGN & DELIVERY

We create your space plan and design based on your plans and site measurements that we take. We then act as your retailer–sourcing, ordering, and tracking all your POs. Your furnishings are shipped to a receiver and delivered to your home via a white glove service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We specialize in designing homes that set themselves apart and surprise. These are often our client’s second or forever homes, and include beach homes, farmhouses, historic homes, barndominiums, and much more. Think your design project is too “out there”? We doubt it. Think your home is too small? It’s probably not–we love a container home. Give us a call, and let’s talk.

  • Great question! This depends on the scope of your project. While we’ll give you a loose timeline once we get started, it’s just that–loose, because good design takes time. That said, we are dedicated to communicating well throughout every stage of the process, so you’ll never be left in the dark about the progress of your home.

  • Unlike firms with a specific aesthetic or design style, Jaunty J caters to your unique preferences. If you don’t know what you love, we’re great at helping you figure it out! Our goal is for you to have a stunning home that serves you and your season of life–a space that you love to spend time in.

  • We are based in the Florida panhandle and primarily serve the areas of Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Pensacola, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and Gulf Breeze. That said, we also do projects nationwide; we’d love to hear about your project in a different location so don’t hesitate to reach out.
